To ensure the health and safety of the City, the Utility Division collects water samples throughout the year and tests them for bacteria and E. Coli. All of these samples have been negative and within limits set by the Michigan Department of Environmental Quality. The department also collects and tests wastewater samples on a daily basis to insure that we are meeting our permit limits for the discharge of treated wastewater to the Huron River.
