In preparation for the impending inclement weather, please remove all cars from the street as soon as possible, especially overnight. Due to the timing of the storm, it is likely that the DPW will be working overnight, which could result in snow being placed back into driveways. We apologize for the inconvenience to those that shovel during the day today.

As we enter into the next few days of cold temperatures, please be reminded that salt can lose its effectiveness at temperatures under 10 degrees. Please be extra careful when traveling during the extremely cold weather.

Residents: Please clear your sidewalk of snow and ice within 48 hours of snow cessation.

Business owners: Please clear your sidewalks within 4 hours of snow cessation or by the start of your business day.

Please shovel the snow onto your property. It is against City Ordinance to shovel the snow into the street or onto a neighbor's property.

We also request that you please help the fire department by making sure that fire hydrants around your home or business are cleared of snow, accessible and visible from the street as soon as possible after a snow storm. Every second counts in an emergency situation.
