The Central Street project will start the week of July 15th. The contractor will start mobilizing equipment/finishing survey work on Monday. Central Street will be closed to thru traffic from just west of Fifth Street to Third Street once construction begins. The Third Street intersection will remain open. Stormwater work in the right of way will also be completed on Fifth Street between Central and Broad and on Fourth Street between Central and Dover.

Waste Management is continuing to work on delivering trash/recycle containers. Delivery is expected to be complete by Saturday, July 13th. The new containers must be used for trash/recycle pick up starting Monday, July 15th.
With the Fourth of July approaching, we want to remind everyone that the use of fireworks in the City is prohibited by City Ordinance. State law however, requires that fireworks be permitted on specified days during specified times.

Absentee ballot applications for the August 6, 2019 Washtenaw Intermediate School District Special Millage Election are available at the City Offices (8123 Main St., Dexter, MI 48130) or by contacting City Clerk and Assistant to the City Manager Justin Breyer at 734-580-2234 or firstname.lastname@example.org. Absentee ballots may now be requested by all registered voters without providing a reason.
The City of Dexter is currently recruiting for Election Inspectors to assist with administering elections at the polls from 6 am to 9 pm on election days. Workers are paid for their service. The next election will be held on August 6, 2019. The Washtenaw County Sheriff's Office will be filming a recruitment video in downtown Dexter on Wednesday, June 5, 2019. They will be in and around Joe & Rosie's (8074 Main) from 6 am to noon and in Monument Park from 2 pm to 6 pm.
