Countywide Long Range Transportation Planning
November 21, 2018 10:33 am — courtneyNThe Washtenaw Area Transportation Study is currently developing its 2045 Long Range Transportation Plan, which provides a vision for transportation planning over the next 25 years for Washtenaw County. This effort is being done in partnership with the Southeast Michigan Council of Governments Regional Transportation Plan development.
The series of meeting in November will focus on Plan Goals, Project Emphasis Areas and Project locations.

Planning Commission Vacancy
November 13, 2018 4:25 pm — courtneyNThe Planning Commission is seeking one new member. The Planning Commission is a 9 member board of City residents that is responsible for the creation and adoption of a master plan, which is a long range plan for the physical development of the City of Dexter. The plan is currently undergoing a revision. The Commission is also responsible for holding required public hearings on changes to the zoning ordinance and recommending the boundaries of zoning districts.
Creation of a Housing Task Force
November 13, 2018 4:25 pm — courtneyNThe City of Dexter is seeking four (4) candidates interested in serving as members of the City’s Housing Task Force - a new committee created by the City Council on November 12, 2018. Task Force objectives will include: inventorying existing housing stock; identifying housing needs; identifying and researching housing case studies from other communities; researching strategies to address missing housing needs and affordable housing; and present findings to City Council for additional study or action.
Election Reminders
November 5, 2018 10:23 am — courtneyNMonday, November 5, 2018 until 4 pm is the final opportunity to receive an absentee ballot. The ballot must be requested in-person and voted at the City Office. It is against State of Michigan election law for the Clerk to give an absentee ballot over the counter to someone other than the person whose name is on the ballot.
