Trick or treat hours in the City will be from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. on Monday, October 31. The Chamber of Commerce and local businesses will also be sponsoring a trick or treat opportunity in Monument Park on Monday, October 31 at 1 pm.
The City of Dexter is working with two planning students from the University of Michigan to develop a Master Plan for First Street Park (at the end of Edison near Adair Printing). They have been gathering information from the community on the future vision for the Park. The students have developed a survey to gain additional feedback.
The City of Dexter is seeking an intern to assist with administrative tasks on a part time basis. Candidates should have a Bachelor's Degree and be pursuing a Master of Public Administration or similar degree. A copy of the job description can be viewed at the link below.
Leaf pick up in the City is on-going. DPW crews have collected 17 truck loads of leaves this week (through the end of the day yesterday) and are continuing collection today. Once the leaves are collected, the load is taken to our certified compost site on Parker Road.
West Ridge, Dexter Crossing and Huron Farms will receive leaf pick up Monday, November 14, 2016. Leaf pick up in the other areas of the City will continue on Tuesday, November 15, 2016.
The City of Dexter will be hosting a public input session at First Street Park (located at 3700 Edison St. near Adair Printing) on Sunday, October 9th from 1 - 3 pm.
