The Border to Border Trail from Westridge to Mill Creek Park North will be temporary closed to thru pedestrian/bike traffic from approx. 9 am to 11 am on Wednesday, June 11, 2014. This is necessary for crews to prepare the base for the new sculpture that will be installed along the path.
Due to the Memorial Day holiday trash/recycle/compost collection is delayed until Saturday, May 31, 2014.

This Saturday's Market will have vendors offering asparagus, greens, lettuce, radishes, rhubarb, breads, pies, pastries, homemade pasta noodles, jams, honey, maple syrup, bedding plants, hanging baskets, perennials, flowering shrubs, trees, jewelry, handmade items, garden art, organic soap, salves, oils, and coffee from Foggy Bottom.
Local musician Andrew Kaponoski will be proivding musical entertainment from 9 to 10:30 am.
The Village is seeking applications for temporary summer help. This position is in the Department of Public Works and will assist with mowing lawns as well as general maintenance. Work hours for this position are 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Monday through Friday from May through August. In an effort to protect our aquifers, conserve water resources, and reduce our peak hour water demand, the Village of Dexter will be continuing the water restrictions that were in place last summer.

The Village of Dexter is pleased to announce that the dates have been set for the 2nd Annual Paint Dexter Plein Air Festival. This year's event will be August 11-16, 2014.
An extra day of painting has been added and we and are hopeful for a repeat of the gorgeous weather!
The event has several new sponsors: Plein Air Magazine, The Arts Alliance and the Michigan Council for Arts and Cultural Affairs.
Thank you to everyone who visited the market on opening day. The turnout was great despite the weather and this was very much appreciated by the vendors.
This Saturday, (May 10, 2014) the Market will be offering its annual Mother’s Day craft. Kids 12 and under can paint a small flower pot and receive a flower to give as a Mother’s Day gift from 10 am to noon.
Market hours are 8 am to 1 pm on Saturday and 2 pm to 6 pm on Tuesday.
As the weather gets warmer please be careful when crossing the street and watch for increased pedestrian/bicycle traffic while driving.
