Trick-or-treat hours in the City will be from 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm on Wednesday, October 31, 2018. The Dexter Chamber of Commerce and local businesses will also be sponsoring a trick-or-treat opportunity in Monument Park on Wednesday, October 31, 2018 from 1 to 4 pm and at participating downtown businesses from 9 am to 4 pm.

The Planning Commission will conduct a special meeting to update the public on the progress being made on the MP Update. The meeting is scheduled for October 29, 2018 and will be held at the Dexter District Library, from 7-8:30 pm. From 2:00 to 3:00 pm on Sunday October 28, 2018 at the Dexter Area Historical Museum, graduate students in the Preservation Administration & Planning course in EMU's Historic Preservation Program will present the Historic Structure Report they have been preparing for Gordon Hall. Students have been assessing information from the site itself and from historical research conducted at a variety of venues including the Dexter Area Historical Museum and the University of Michigan’s Bentley Historical Library.
The Farmers Market will host its annual Dress Up Your Dog for Halloween Contest on Saturday, October 27, 2018. Staging will be from 11:30 to 11:45 am followed by judging. 1st, 2nd and 3rd place prizes will be awarded.
The Washtenaw County Sheriff is partnering with the Opiod Prescribing Engagement Network (OPEN) to host a prescription drug take back event in Monument Park on Saturday, October 27, 2018 from 10 am to 2 pm.
