Public Hearing - Zoning Board of Appeals

 Pursuant to Michigan Public Act 110 of 2006, as amended, notice is hereby given that the City of Dexter Zoning Board of Appeals will hold a public hearing at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, May 20, 2019. The hearing will take place at the Dexter Senior Center, 7720 Ann Arbor Street, Dexter, Michigan. The purpose of the hearing is to take public comments regarding the following variance application:

The applicant, Matthew M. Hagerty, Esq., is requesting the following variance in order to construct an attached deck to a single-family home, which is located at 8440 Parkridge Drive (08-03-31-310-095):

  • A 3.29 percent variance from the 30 percent maximum lot coverage required by Section 20.01 of the City of Dexter Zoning Ordinance.

The applicant is requesting the variances due to practical difficulties associated with the property. If granted, the 3.29 percent variance will allow a maximum lot coverage of 33.29 percent.

The application is available for public inspection at the City Offices, 8123 Main Street, 2nd Floor, Dexter, MI 48130; weekdays between 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and can be accessed by clicking here. Interested parties are welcome to attend the public hearing and present their comments.
