Public Hearing - Planning Commission

Pursuant to Michigan Public Act 110 of 2006 (the Michigan Zoning Enabling Act), as amended notice is hereby given that the City of Dexter Planning Commission will hold a public hearing at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 3, 2019. The public hearing will be held at the Dexter Senior Center, 7720 Ann Arbor Street, Dexter, Michigan. The purpose of the public hearing is to consider a Preliminary PUD Application for Hilltop View Apartments. The Preliminary PUD Application was submitted by Avalon Housing, Inc.

The applicant proposes a mixed-use multiple-family development that includes a food pantry, community center, and 24 residential attached dwelling units, on 1.74 acres of a 4.0 acre site, which is owned by the City of Dexter. The subject site is located at 7651 Dan Hoey Road (08-08-07-100-028).

The subject site is zoned I-1, Light Industrial District. The applicant is requesting a rezoning to PUD, Planned Unit Development, with VC, Village Commercial as the underlying zoning district. Any land use or mix of land uses that are authorized in the City of Dexter Zoning Ordinance may be considered for a PUD.

Interested parties are welcome to attend the public hearing and present their comments. Written comments regarding the proposal should be submitted to the Office of Community Development at the address listed above or via email to maniol@dextermi.gov and must be received no later than 5:00 p.m. on August 23, 2019.
