Downtown Development Authority
The Downtown Development Authority (DDA) is responsible for economic development and related projects within the designated downtown district. The DDA is authorized by statute and the City Council to capture property taxes within its district for use on these projects. Appointed by Council, the DDA elects their own chair, vice-chair, secretary, and treasurer. The Mayor also serves on the DDA, and he is assisted by the Community Development Manager.
The DDA meets the third Thursday of each month at 7:30 a.m. at the Dexter Senior Center. Meeting packets are available on this page the Monday prior to the meeting.
