Baker Road Roundabouts

Baker Road from south of Shield to north of Dan Hoey is closed. This project includes the installation of roundabouts at Baker and Shield and Baker and Dan Hoey. The project was designed to improve the turning radius at Dan Hoey and Baker for large trucks heading to the Dexter Business and Research Park and improve the safety for vehicles turning left from Baker onto Shield. It also adds sidewalks to improve pedestrian connectivity. The road is expected to re-open prior to the start of school in September.

The detour map can be found in the attached flyer.

In addition, acceleration and deceleration lanes will be reconstructed.  Two way traffic will be maintained throughout construction which will occur during summer recess.
