The City's contractor M & M will be re-applying pavement markings on roadways throughout the City over the next several weeks. This Sunday they will start work on the centerlines of the major streets. Please proceed with caution in the areas where crews are working.
Since the road was closed on June 12, the contractor has removed the old bridge, installed cofferdams (steel sheeting enclosure to keep water out of the work area), excavated soil for the foundations and started to install foundation piling. The contractor plans to finish the foundation piling on Thursday, July 20 for the east foundation and pour a concrete pad inside the cofferdam enclosure, which will provide workers with a solid surface to build the concrete foundations.
