The City of Dexter is seeking pictures of groups of people walking, running, biking, and recreating throughout the City. It is our goal to acquire publication-quality and advertisement-quality pictures of residents enjoying our City. Submit your best photos for the chance to win a $25 gift certificate to Hackney Hardware or a voucher for one free yoga class to Verapose Yoga Studio.
With the Fourth of July approaching, we want to remind everyone that the use of fireworks in the City is prohibited by City Ordinance. State law however, requires that fireworks be permitted on the day before, the day of and the day following a national holiday. On these three days state law permits fireworks to be used from 8 am to 1 am.
State law does allow the City to regulate certain activities including the following:
The Community Build Day for the playground at Lions Park on Saturday, June 18th was a huge success. Approximately 20 volunteers assisted with the construction. The development of this park has been a true community effort.

The Arts, Culture & Heritage Committee is seeking a new member.
Washtenaw County Parks will be replacing the railing along the Border to Border Trail from Mill Creek Park North to West Ridge starting Thursday, June 9, 2016. The project should take approximately one week to complete. Thru traffic will be maintained on one side of the path while the work occurs.
