Election Day for three (3) City Council seats is Tuesday, November 3, 2015. Precincts 1 and 2 will be located at the Dexter Senior Center - 7720 Ann Arbor Street. Polls will be open from 7 am to 8 pm.
The City Offices will be open on Saturday, October 31, 2015, from 9 am to 2 pm to issue and accept absentee ballots. Absentee ballots must be returned to the City Office by 8 pm on Tuesday, November 3, 2015.
The final day of leaf pick up is planned for Friday, December 11, 2015. If you have a pile that needs to be picked up, please send an e-mail to email@example.com.
The Dexter Farmers Market, located along Alpine St., will have a nice selection of produce, baked goods, and artisan items grown and crafted by local vendors through Saturday, October 31st. In addition, the Farmers Market will host two incredibly fun events during October:

The Parks and Recreation Commission is seeking public input for the City's 2016-2020 Parks and Recreation Master Plan. This Plan will chart the course for the City's parks and recreation services for the next five years. Community input will help identify goals and objectives as well as any major projects that the City should strive to undertake in this time frame.
The City of Dexter is currently recruiting for candidates to serve as Election Inspectors for upcoming elections. Election Inspectors assist with administering elections at the polls from 6 am to 9 pm. These positions are compensated at an hourly rate.
Hydrant flushing for fall 2015 is complete.
Construction of the remaining segment of the Border to Border Trail from Dexter Huron Metropark to Central Street is scheduled to begin on Monday, October 12, 2015. The path will be closed during construction.
