Daylight savings time ends on Sunday, November 3, 2013 – Remember to set your clocks back one hour. This is also a good time to change the batteries in smoke detectors and carbon monoxide detectors.
The Village's water system includes a 500,000 gallon water storage tower. Maintenance work has been scheduled on the tower, which will require it to be out of service. Iron can build up in the bowl of the tower, so a valve is being installed that will allow the Village Utility Department to remove the iron while keeping the tower in use. The work will take 7-10 days and is scheduled for October 30 to November 8.
The Charter Commission Election results can be viewed at the link below. Details on the first meeting will be posted as soon as they are available.

The testing will occur between 9:00 am and 2:30 pm on Thursday, October 10, which involves a machine emitting a vibration similar to an asphalt roller traveling slowly down the street. The work is starting and ending outside the Village jurisdiction (from Baker and I-94 to Central and up Mast through Webster Township).
The Village of Dexter, Washtenaw County Parks & Recreation and the Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) have continued to meet over the past several months regarding the path alignment to complete the trail from Central Street to Dexter Huron Metropark.
