NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING 

CITY OF DEXTER

ZONING BOARD OF APPEALS

 

Pursuant to Michigan Public Act 110 of 2006, as amended, notice is hereby given that the City of Dexter Zoning Board of Appeals will hold a public hearing at 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, February 21, 2017 at the Dexter Senior Center, 7720 Ann Arbor Street, Dexter, Michigan.  The for the purpose of hearing is to take public comment regarding the following variance application:

 The applicant, Dexter Commerce Center Association, on behalf of the owners of property at 7200 Dan Hoey Road, is requesting the following variances from Section 7.03, Ground Signs, sub-section (1)F for a ground sign at the Dexter Commerce Center, 7200 Dan Hoey Road:

  • 10-foot variance from the required 10-foot setback from the Dan Hoey Road right-of-way, to allow a 0-foot setback from the road right-of-way;
  • 15-foot variance from the 15-foot required setback from the property line, along Dan Hoey Road, to allow an 0-foot setback from the property line; and

The applicant requests the variance due to practical difficulties associated with the property.

The application is available for public inspection at the City Offices, 8123 Main Street, 2nd Floor, Dexter, MI 48130; weekdays between 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.  Any questions regarding the rezoning application should be directed to the Office of Community Development at 734-580-2233.

 Interested parties are welcome to attend the public hearing and present their comments.  Written comments regarding the proposal should be submitted to the Office of Community Development at the address listed above or via email to maniol@dextermi.gov, and must be received no later than 5:00 p.m., Monday, February 13, 2017.

 Sign language interpreter, or other assistance, may be provided upon request to the City Manager cnicholls@dextermi.gov, at least 72 hours in advance of the meeting.  Minutes of all meetings are available on the City website, www.dextermi.gov
