Public Hearing - Planning Commission
Pursuant to Michigan Public Act 110 of 2006, as amended (the Michigan Zoning Enabling Act), notice is hereby given that the City of Dexter Planning Commission will hold a public hearing at 7:00 p.m., Monday, July 2, 2018 for the purpose of considering a special land use application. The public hearing will be held at the Dexter Senior Center, 7720 Ann Arbor Street, Dexter, Michigan, 48130.
The purpose of the public hearing is to consider a special land use application, submitted by Sumonthip (Grace) Angsukomutkul, to allow for indoor recreation, in the form of an indoor small child play studio, at 7200 Dan Hoey Road, Suite G, in the Dexter Commerce Center (Parcel ID #: 08-08-05-380-005). The subject site is zoned C-1 General Business.
Pursuant to Section 14.03, Special Uses, indoor commercial recreation, such as, but not limited to, bowling alleys, billiard halls, archery ranges, tennis courts, skating rinks, and arcades; provided that the facility will not disrupt adjacent uses, negatively impact the environment, or burden public facilities, and will protect the overall public health, safety, and welfare, may be permitted in the C-1 General Business District, upon review by the Planning Commission and approval by City Council.

Interested parties are welcome to attend the public hearing and present their comments. Written comments regarding the proposal should be submitted to the Office of Community Development at the address listed above or via email to firstname.lastname@example.org, and must be received no later than 5:00 p.m., Monday, June 25, 2018.
