Public Hearing - Planning Commission
Pursuant to Michigan Public Act 110 of 2006, as amended (the Michigan Zoning Enabling Act), notice is hereby given that the City of Dexter Planning Commission will hold a public hearing at 7:00 p.m., Monday, March 5, 2018, for the purpose of considering a special land use application. The public hearing will be held at the Dexter Senior Center, 7720 Ann Arbor Street, Dexter, Michigan.
The purpose of the public hearing is to consider a special land use application submitted by Northern United Brewing Company (NUBC), for an expansion to the existing tasting room at 2319 Bishop Circle East (08-08-07-125-025). The subject site is zoned RD Research and Development District. A tasting room is permitted in the RD District with special approval, provided 1) it is accessory to a wine, beer and/or other alcoholic beverage manufacturing facility, licensed as such by the State of Michigan, 2) the square footage of the tasting room shall not exceed 15% of the gross floor area.
Copies of the plans and application are available for public inspection at the City Offices, 8123 Main Street, 2nd Floor, Dexter, MI 48130; weekdays between 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The application can be accessed by clicking here. Interested parties are welcome to attend the public hearing and present their comments. Written comments regarding the proposed amendments should be submitted to the Office of Community Development at the address listed above or via email to email@example.com, and must be received no later than 5:00 p.m., Tuesday, February 27, 2018.
