CITY OF DEXTER

PLANNING COMMISSION

2017-2022 CAPITAL IMPROVEMENTS PLAN

Pursuant to Michigan Public Act 33 of 2008 (the Planning Enabling Act), as amended, notice is hereby given that the City of Dexter Planning Commission will hold a public hearing on Monday, April 3, 2017 at 7:00 pm, at the Dexter Senior Center, 7720 Ann Arbor Street.  The purpose of the public hearing is to consider proposed City of Dexter 2017-2022 Capital Improvements Plan (CIP), and take comments from the public.

The CIP is a program that projects and coordinates public expenditures for improvements to the transportation and utility systems, municipal facilities, and other improvements over a six-year period. Preparation of the capital improvements plan is done under the authority of the PA 33 of 2008.  It is the City Planning Commission’s goal that the CIP be used as a tool to implement the City’s Master Plan and assist is the City’s financial planning.

The proposed plan is available for public inspection at the City Offices, 8123 Main Street, 2nd Floor, Dexter, MI 48130; weekdays between 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.  Interested parties are welcome to attend the public hearing and present their comments.  Written comments or questions regarding the proposed plan should be submitted to the City Clerk, at the address listed above or via email to jbreyer@dextermi.gov, and must be received no later than 5:00 p.m., Tuesday, March 28, 2017.

Sign language interpreter, or other assistance, is provided upon request to the City Manager cnicholls@dextermi.gov, at least 72 hours in advance of the meeting.  Minutes of all meetings are available on the City website, www.dextermi.gov.
