On April 10, 2017 the Dexter City Council proclaimed April 28, 2017 as Arbor Day within the City of Dexter.  An Arbor Day Celebration will be held to celebrate the benefits of trees, including how trees can reduce erosion of topsoil by wind and water, moderate the temperature, clean the air, produce life-giving oxygen, provide habitat for wildlife, and cut heating and cooling costs.Trees are also beneficial because they are a renewable resource giving us paper, wood for

Sheriff's Office Police Service Dog Handler Physical Fitness Evaluation

The Washtenaw County Sheriff's Office will be hosting a Police Service Dog Handler Physical Fitness Evaluation in the City on Sunday, April 23, 2017 from 8:30 am to 11:30 am. The training will take place in North and South Mill Creek Park. The Park will not be closed and spectators are welcome, however certain areas may be temporarily roped off.

Easter Eggstravaganza

The City of Dexter is proud to host the 7th Annual Easter Eggstravaganza on Saturday, April 15, 2017! Come for a fun-filled family experience with egg scrambles, pictures with the Easter Bunny, and face painting! The event will be held at Community Park (3575 Ryan Dr.). The Easter Bunny will be at the Park from 10am – 12pm, and the Easter egg scrambles will begin promptly at 10:30am.
